ProCure Treatment Centers and INTEGRIS Health will use Elekta’s MOSAIQ Oncology Information System and XiO treatment planning solutions to manage and optimize its clinical and administrative workflows.
Elekta will provide software systems for the newly opened ProCure Proton Therapy Center in Oklahoma City, and the INTEGRIS Cancer Institute of Oklahoma (ICIO), a comprehensive cancer care centre that will open this autumn. ProCure collaborates with leading radiation oncologists and hospitals to develop proton centres. The Oklahoma facility will serve 1,500 patients a year and is the first in a network of ProCure centers to open. The facility shares a campus with the ICIO, which will provide a continuum of care for proton therapy patients who need the extra services. Philip Lance, President of the ICIO said INTEGRIS sought a single oncology information system that would maximise open communications and efficiency across its oncology services. “Today, many cancer related treatments require a multi-modality approach, which drives the need for integration,” said Lance. “MOSAIQ will provide the right foundation so that we can continue to offer personalized medicine to our patients.” The two centres will use MOSAIQ for all aspects of their conventional radiation oncology, medical oncology, haematology, palliative care and proton therapy workflow, as well as XiO for proton treatment planning. “We have a unique situation in that the entire oncology workflow is based on one integrated MOSAIQ solution,” said Ben Harris, ProCure’s Director of Training and Development. “Combining multiple oncology modalities through a central electronic Medical record ensures that our medical and administrative teams control the information they need so we can provide the best possible care to our patients.” |
