News launches online marketplace for care and support : 30 September, 2010  (Company News)
The first Naidex South exhibition sees the launch of the service which is aiming to become the UK's leading online marketplace for care and support, and care-related goods and services, already features more than 40,000 care product and service providers and suppliers, and is on track to more than treble this figure ahead of its launch.
The company has recently trebled its workforce to include a new telesales team, Managing Director and Marketing Director, and the appointment of a dedicated care brokerage team is next on the cards.

'We chose Naidex as it provides the ideal platform through which to announce our launch to a wide spectrum of those at the heart of the care industry, most importantly service users, but also service and product providers,
'The social care landscape is currently undergoing some drastic changes, and we feel that services like will become increasingly essential for the millions of people needing care and support in the UK.'

To support its official launch at this year’s Naidex South event, unveiled a Care Broker Helpline that will provide free advice and support to callers who require assistance in finding and securing a care home placement for themselves, or a friend or family member.

The helpline (charged at a local rate) will be available initially between 9am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday with plans to extend the service if there is sufficient demand.

Experienced social worker, entrepreneur and founder of, Karen Garner said, 'Over 50,000 people a year require a carehome placement but often struggle when it comes to knowing where to start. From our research we've found that there is sufficient availability nationwide to accommodate a good proportion of those service users. We aim to provide a valuable service that will bring provision and user together, which we hope will go some way to addressing this problem.'
