Increased concern for healthcare and food borne illnesses has led to a demand for improved levels of hygiene. Manufacturers across a wide range of sectors are taking this opportunity to invest in a globally recognised brand of antimicrobial technology to ensure their products are clean, safe and more hygienic to use. With antimicrobial protection as a product feature, they can offer added value to customers and end-users.
Delivering the most comprehensive package of high quality antimicrobial technology, industry-leading validation testing, expert microbiologists, clinical trials and marketing support, BioCote has secured big contracts for Nigeria’s Portland Paints and Products, Marmorin, a Polish manufacturer of composite sinks and Masisa, the leading manufacturer in Latin America of wood boards for furniture and interior architecture, among others.
BioCote’s Commercial Director Graham Harvey said: “It is clear that there are some areas where manufacturers are still investing and still sectors that are experiencing growth, despite the global economic crisis. The weaker British pound has evidently made it more cost effective for companies to source from Britain, which is why we’ve almost tripled our export sales this year, with exports accounting for more than 70 percent of new sales”.
“Not only that, but our reputation for high quality and excellent customer service has seen US, European and Asian manufacturers turn to BioCote Ltd for a comprehensive and credible antimicrobial protection package to give their products an added benefit in some very tough markets”.
“Experts predict that antimicrobial additive sales are expected to increase dramatically in the coming years and we’re aiming to take a share of this market growth. We’re confident that our sales will continue to grow this year and that we can build on our export success by continuing to invest in our brand’s global reputation”.
“Because our antimicrobial technology can be applied to almost any material or product, manufacturers can buy a winning USP for their goods. From keeping fabrics fresh and odour-free to helping prevent cross-contamination from objects touched by multiple users – the applications are endless. We see huge potential for growth in the healthcare, food, retail and leisure sectors and are committed to raising awareness of health and hygiene issues in these areas.”
BioCote’s Microbiologist Richard Hastings added: “BioCote is leading the way in building a sound evidence base to suggest that products with BioCote protection can help reduce bacterial contamination in real life environments, making them cleaner and more hygienic for occupants. It’s clear that this commitment to scientific trials has enhanced our global reputation and built a strong brand”. |
