Carestream Health signs up worldwide Healthcare Information Management Systems contracts

Carestream Health : 18 October, 2007  (New Product)
A number of leading healthcare facilities across the world have signed contracts with Carestream Health for the company’s Kodak Carestream PACS and Kodak Carestream RIS solutions.
Some facilities also purchased Kodak Carestream Information Management Solutions for enterprise-wide management of images and data, digital radiography (DR) and computed radiography (CR) systems for digital capture of medical X-ray exams or professional services for network design, systems integration, data migration and other services.

The following healthcare providers have placed orders for Carestream Health's medical imaging and information management solutions:

- AUSL Bologna (Bologna, Italy) has ordered Carestream PACS for 14 locations and Carestream Information Management Solutions to deliver enterprise-wide business continuity in addition to data protection and disaster recovery. The healthcare system also ordered professional services to handle integration with other systems and data migration from legacy archives.

- Fisher-Titus Medical Center (Norwalk, Ohio, USA) has ordered Carestream Enterprise Information Management and Data Migration services.

- Ichinomiya Municipal Hospital (Ichinomiya, Japan) has ordered Kodak Carestream PACS and Carestream RIS.

- Istituti Ortopedici Rizzoli (Bologna, Italy) has purchased a Carestream PACS upgrade and professional services to integrate PACS with the facility's existing HIS/RIS and other related systems.

- Mater Health Services (Queensland, Australia) has purchased Carestream PACS with advanced 3D and mammography options as well as Carestream Information Management Services to manage two data centres and provide business continuity.

- Medicity Oy (Helsinki, Finland) a group of private clinics, has ordered Carestream PACS, a Kodak Directview DR 9000 and two Kodak Directview CR 850 Systems for its three clinics.

- Saint Luc Bouge Hospital (Namur, Belgium) has expanded the Carestream PACS at its main hospital to serve an additional three polyclinics and manage three data repositories. Advanced native 3D, orthopaedic templating and mammography functionality are available from the PACS at all sites.

- Region Sealand (Ringsted, Denmark) has purchased optional Carestream RIS mammography software, which will be implemented in Ringsted for mobile screening units that service the entire region.

- University of Rochester Medical Center (Rochester, NewYork, USA) has ordered additional Carestream PACS archive storage to perform replication for disaster recovery.

Carestream Health, an independent company, has licensed the Kodak brand for use with its own brands-such as Carestream, Directview and Dryview -across its portfolio of leading edge medical imaging and healthcare IT products.
