InterSystems and Four Points Technology partner for Veterans Affairs agreement

InterSystems : 16 October, 2007  (New Product)
InterSystems has announced that Four Points Technology will provide the InterSystems Cache object database to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
The contract for Enterprise software and maintenance services, with an initial value of approximately $34.9 million, includes option periods that, if exercised, will bring the total cumulative value to an estimated $183.7m.

“For more than two decades, InterSystems has been providing innovative technology to enable VA healthcare initiatives,” said Paul Grabscheid, InterSystems vice president of Strategic Planning. “We have a well established and highly successful working partnership with Four Points Technology, which was selected to act as the solutions partner for InterSystems technology through a competitive Small Business Veteran Owned contract process. This relationship ensures the VA has optimal access to InterSystems CACH… and to our world-class support.'

“Our ongoing partnership with InterSystems makes it possible to deliver the database software that enables the VA’s VistA electronic health record (EHR) system,” said David Gilchrist, president of Four Points Technology. “VistA has been recognised worldwide as a breakthrough EHR application and we are very pleased to be working with InterSystems, the healthcare database technology leader, on this initiative.”
