New wet wipe dispensers boost hospital productivity

Vernacare : 08 December, 2011  (New Product)
Vernacare is launching a new wall mounted dispenser for their Tuffie wipes range which is aimed at not only increasing productivity, but also helping the NHS make cost efficiencies by reducing waste.
The dispensing system provides a designated fixed location for the wipes and avoids time spent searching for products. It also uses significantly less packaging than traditional tubs and canisters.

"This new dispenser system for Tuffie 5 wipes allows us to contribute to reducing our waste and helping to improve our carbon footprint," said Wendy Creasey, Infection Prevention and Control Nurse (United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust).

By switching away from traditional tubs and canisters, hospitals can make packaging waste savings of up to 85%dependant on their current wipe product. The dispenser and refill system is also a great way to control consumption by preventing over-usage.

Vernacare's unique single wipe dispensing mechanism gives users control over how many wipes they dispense each time, overcoming a common problem across the wider healthcare sector. An automatic closing lid mechanism also ensures that the wipes do not dry out.

There are multiple benefits to implementing the Vernacare dispenser system in hospitals, with many customers already adopting the new system in an attempt to improve their productivity and reduce waste, achieving both financial and environmental savings.

The dispensers can be used with both Tuffie Detergent and Tuffie 5 multi-surface wipes, effective against all five major groups of pathogens, including Clostridium difficile, Norovirus and MRSA amongst many others.
