Amicas : 18 July, 2007  (New Product)
Amicas has received14 new contracts for radiology systems during the second quarter of 2007.
The 14 contracts comprise a variety of hospitals, imaging centres, teleradiology businesses, and radiology groups. The new hospital contracts include four hospitals with a Meditechhospital information system. Six of the new ambulatory contracts included multiple Amicas product lines.

Visionary Imaging of St Louis, Missouri, USA, is one of the ambulatory contracts from the second quarter of 2007. Visionary Imaging provides regional hospitals with access to sub-specialty radiologists to complement those hospitals' local radiologists. A Vision Series PACS client since 2006, Visionary Imaging added the new Vision Series Financials platform to their business and is a new Insight Services client.

'These 14 contracts demonstrate that the market is continuing to embrace Amicas' commitment to innovation,' said Paul Merrild, vice president of marketing at Amicas. ' Amicas' new contracts, particularly over the course of the last three quarters, are a testament to our focus on delivering solutions that the radiology marketplace needs.'

'We are thrilled about our strong partnership with Visionary Imaging - along with our other new customers,' said Peter McClennen, president and COO of Amicas. 'We have focused our energies and resources on developing the best solutions available in radiology automation. Obviously, our significant investment in R&D has resulted in solutions that solve real world problems in radiology today.'
