BodyMedia releases new behaviour modification software

Bodymedia : 13 June, 2007  (New Product)
BodyMedia has released version 6.1 of the SenseWear software for monitoring accurate metabolic metrics.
The SenseWear 6.1 software is compatible with the SenseWear wearable display device and has improved proprietary algorithms that report accurate metabolic metrics.

This solution enables patients to keep track of their health data such as calories burned, physical activity, and sleep so health professionals can objectively monitor adherence to their behavioural prescriptions.

Patients and their physicians use SenseWear to identify the behaviours that best promote increased activity, weight loss, and healthy living - ultimately lowering the risks associated with their chronic conditions.

The SenseWear wearable display device shows the patients' real-time health metrics, making this essential lifestyle data constantly accessible to the patient and a motivating factor in their busy lives.

'Healthcare professionals and many of their patients acknowledge the need to improve and sustain exercise and eating behaviours', said Tom Futch, vice president of sales and marketing for BodyMedia.

'BodyMedia provides the tools necessary for patients and practitioners to realise success in behaviour therapy'.

'The latest enhancement to SenseWear software 6.1 and the addition of the SenseWear wearable display device represent an important step in our solutions' ability to help health professionals assess, motivate, and educate patients suffering from metabolic disorders as a result of poor lifestyle habits'.
