Carestream’s portable CR/X-Ray system picks up US contracts

Carestream Health : 14 February, 2008  (New Product)
Carestream Health has recently signed contracts for its Kodak Point-of-Care CR-ITX 560 computed radiography portable platform with a number of leading US healthcare facilities.
The CR-ITX 560 features an integrated CR reader/x-ray generator that provides immediate capture and access to medical images. The system has broad applications including bedside exams, emergency rooms, trauma units, intensive care facilities and nursing homes.

The following healthcare providers placed orders for Carestream Health’s CR-ITX 560 digital imaging system:

Henry Medical Center (Stockbridge, Georgia)

Northwest Hospital (Seattle, Washington)

Pagosa Mountain Hospital (Pagosa Springs, Colorado)

Phelps Memorial Hospital (Tarrytown, New York)

Swedish Medical Center (Seattle, Washington)

The Medical Center Inc. (Columbus, Georgia)

Valley Medical Center (Renton, Washington)

Virginia Mason Medical Center (Seattle, Washington)

“The design of the CR-ITX 560 system helps enhance patient care and increase staff productivity by eliminating the need to transport CR cassettes to a radiology department or centralised CR reader for scanning and viewing,” said Diana L Nole, president, Digital Capture Solutions, Carestream Health. “This system offers an affordable and practical way for healthcare providers to realise some of the many benefits of digital imaging technology.”

Carestream Health offers a comprehensive portfolio of computed radiography and digital radiography products to meet the digital imaging needs of hospitals, trauma units, orthopaedic and specialty clinics, nursing homes, outpatient imaging centres, and other healthcare facilities.
