Clinsys and ITEC forge alliance to offer CRO services worldwide

Clinsys Clinical Research : 18 December, 2007  (New Product)
Clinsys Clinical Research and ITEC Services have entered into a strategic alliance agreement that will broaden each company's global clinical research service offering.
The alliance will enable Clinsys to extend its global clinical operations and consulting services in Europe and North Africa, while providing ITEC increased opportunities resulting from alignment with Clinsys' infrastructure and network of global resources in the USA, India and Western Europe.

Established in 1984, ITEC, headquartered in Bordeaux, France, with operations in Casablanca, Morocco, has rapidly expanded its comprehensive range of clinical research services in response to the accelerating changes in the pharmaceutical industry in France and Western Europe.

'This alliance with ITEC augments our ongoing efforts to strengthen operations throughout Europe,' said Clinsys chief executive officer, David E Williams. 'ITEC has a proven track record in working successfully with European sponsors and regulatory authorities and has an excellent reputation for focus on client needs that mirrors Clinsys' brand of client service. Combining ITEC's geographical territories with Clinsys' global operations is a natural fit. The net value of this alliance gives our sponsors enhanced patient recruitment options, local expertise and one point of contact. Over the past five years, ITEC has steadily built its late stage business complementing Clinsys' earlier stage focus.'

Clinsys and ITEC will mutually conduct training with each other's respective operational staff to ensure stringent adherence to standards and guidelines and promote quality deliverables for sponsors. ITEC, ISO 9001 certified, will integrate Clinsys' Global Project Solution (ClinsysGPS) into its own project management process. ClinsysGPS has been widely accepted by sponsors as an effective, collaborative project management solution that provides end point results.

'ITEC welcomes the opportunity to align ourselves with Clinsys - a premier, global CRO with operations in the United States, India and Western Europe,' said ITEC medical director and co-founder, Dr Jack Auzerie. 'We share a commitment to excellence and will work together to ensure quality deliverables for our sponsors. We believe our alliance with Clinsys will enable us to broaden our global customer base and speed up multinational studies for pharmaceutical companies in Europe seeking overseas development.'
