CNWL delivers Trust-wide clinical solution for improved mental health care

Ascribe : 12 October, 2007  (New Product)
Ascribe's JCC Mental Health and Community Care system has successfully completed the first phase of its implementation in the Hillingdon borough and is in addition to the existing users in Harrow.
Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust selected the Ascribe JCC Mental Health and Community Care system last year and the Trust now plans to roll out the Ascribe system to the other boroughs in the Trust. Kensington and Chelsea is one of these boroughs with Westminster and Brent being the other one.

The system will eventually support all of the Trust's 2,500 plus clinical staff providing them with a comprehensive patient care system.

Ascribe provides a trust wide IT solution to help deliver improved patient care. The deal’s initial value is 1.9 million over five years and includes a fully managed service contract, with the option to extend annually after the initial period.

CNWL selected Ascribe’s solution as the best fit for its clinical and information requirements. The contract was awarded following a competitive tender that included the LSP (Local Service Provider) offering.

'In addition to selecting a system that monitors & tracks the care pathways and progress of our client groups, Ascribe will provide the management information that will enable us to fulfil our obligations as a Foundation Trust and improve patient safety,' said Edward Matt, director of Operations and Information.

'Ascribe's JCC Mental Health and Community Care (MH and CC) system is provided as a fully managed service under a Service Level Agreement (SLA) and includes 'hot' disaster recovery facilities. The solution selected by CNWL, is a robust and tested Mental Health IT solution that is both scalable and adaptable. We are delighted at the progress at CNWL, which builds on the successful installation at Bolton, Salford and Trafford (BST) Mental Health Trust where the system is used by over 3,000 clinical staff with up to 500 of those concurrent. BST now have over 3.2 million clinical progress notes recorded on the system,' explained Tony Hansom, Ascribe's business manager.
