Cogon Systems’ internet-based health information exchange platform, the Community Moment of Care continues to advance with the South Florida Health Information Initiative having implemented the Community Moment of Care within Miami, Florida, USA.

Cogon Systems has been funded by the Department of Defense to facilitate in the coming year the first wide-scale sharing of clinical information between multiple civilian providers and federal providers within the Pensacola region.

Healthcare providers are often in need of clinical information from other providers in order to provide better, coordinated patient care. Cogon Systems' Community Moment of Care allows providers to securely access these disparate records that may reside within their own institution, within their referral network, or even information from a facility outside their typical sphere of influence - such as a nearby clinic, a Department of Defense Hospital, a Veterans Administration facility, or another specialist across town. Until now, the problem with this need for data is that most of the information was inaccessible within interoperable systems.

Cogon Systems liberates the information, providing multiple ways for caregivers to have this information readily available to them via secure Internet technologies and protocols.
