GE Healthcare IT’s receives SCP Standards certification for its Centricity Enterprise software

GE Healthcare IT’s Centricity Enterprise support organization has achieved certification under the Service Capability & Performance (SCP) Standards programme.
The recognition occurred after an extensive audit of the GE service centre in Seattle, Washington, USA, against the SCP Support Standard. The SCP Standards quantify the effectiveness of customer service and support based upon a stringent set of performance standards and represents best practices in the industry.

“GE Healthcare is extremely proud to have earned another certification under the SCP Support Standard, this time for the Centricity Enterprise team,” said Jorge Cerda, general manager of services for GE Healthcare. “Our continued certification under the SCP Standards speaks volumes about our commitment to leading the industry with excellence in service and support. Our customers, and ultimately the patient, are the greatest beneficiaries of our commitment to improve the quality and effectiveness of technology service operations beyond all expectations.”

The Service Capability & Performance (SCP) Support Standard is part of a suite of standards designed to improve the quality and effectiveness of technology service operations. A consortium of leading technology companies, along with Service Strategies Corporation, created the internationally recognised standards, which define best practices for delivering world-class technology service and support, quantify performance levels and establish a foundation to build on existing quality processes. Certification requires comprehensive audits and annual recertification to confirm that companies continue to meet the requirements of the programme.

“By passing the rigorous requirements necessary to achieve certification under the SCP Support Standard, GE Healthcare IITS has made it clear they are committed to delivering world-class service to their customers,” said Gordy Stauffer, SCP Auditor. “During the SCP audit, GE Healthcare demonstrated a clear commitment to customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.”

Currently, more than 200 hundred organizations in more than 30 countries use SCP standards to improve their business. GE Healthcare joins the ranks of other industry leaders such as Lockheed Martin Corporation, Rockwell Automation, Nokia, and EMC.
