Gilead implements Pilgrim software solutions at four locations worldwide

California based Gilead Sciences has implemented Pilgrim Software's SmartDoc and SmartComplaints at four locations
Gilead was seeking documentation and training applications that would be easy to use on an enterprise level, thereby upholding its global vision for automating key management systems.

Prior to implementing Pilgrim's SmartSolve software solutions, Gilead had been using a client based server technology, Pilgrim's Q and MIS Document Control and Training solutions, in four key locations: Foster City and San Dimas, California, Ireland and Canada.

The company undertook a global implementation of the web based SmartDoc and SmartTrain solutions, which required the migration of 33,000 documents from Q and MIS.

Managing documents, including SOPs, has become an ever increasing challenge to global enterprises such as Gilead.

Coordinating the efforts of a document management team, and identifying and managing training needs in a central, enterprise-wide repository, provides for a comprehensive solution for ensuring employees' job preparedness across the company.

With the implementation of the web based solutions, SmartDoc and SmartTrain, Gilead's end users now enjoy easier system access to ensure that the latest
SOPs are delivered and signed off by employees.

This process simplification helps maintain training records and SOP enforcement.
