Health Quality Mark for training programme

CME Medical is one of the first companies in the country to be awarded the new Skills for Health Quality Mark for its education and training programme within healthcare. The Quality Mark aims to provide the gold standard for training across the healthcare industry.

CME Medical won the accreditation for its Device User Training and Advanced Device User Training Programmes of learning, in recognition of the high standards of teaching and learning, and the expertise of its training division staff.  CME Medical offers a wide variety of training and education programmes for all of its infusion solutions, which are used in a wide variety of healthcare fields, including pain management, anaesthesia, nutrition and oncology.

The new Skills for Health Quality Mark, specifically for education and training in healthcare, has been developed following a lengthy consultation process and has just been awarded to the first ten companies across the UK. It will be officially launched in October.

With the current investment in education and training  in the health sector standing at £2.9bn per year, the Skills for Health Quality Mark aims to provide the gold standard for training across the healthcare industry, and the first ten companies awarded will act as pioneers for the scheme.

John Carrington, Managing Director for CME Medical, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded the Skills for Health Quality Mark which is a tribute to the dedication and expertise of our training team. This gives our customers absolute confidence in the quality and delivery of our learning programmes.”

CME Medical provides on-site training to customers but also provides an ‘e-learning’ portal which provides a gateway to infusion device training, information guides and operation manuals; clinical applications and drug delivery information.

The Skills for Health Quality Mark focusses on the key factors that underpin high quality teaching, learning and assessment. The CME Medical training programmes were assessed across four key areas, including effectiveness of quality assurance arrangements, health sector engagement and awareness, learning excellence and ethics/values.
