Invetech opens San Diego facility to service North American expansion

Invetech : 22 January, 2008  (New Product)
Invetech has opened a new 15,000 square foot facility in San Diego, California, USA, to support the expansion of its client base in North America.
Since 2002 Invetech has had an active business development team in North America, resulting in steady growth and successful establishment of a North American client base. The new facility now adds California based design, engineering and contract manufacturing services to Invetech's capabilities.

The California location is in close proximity to an extensive high technology and scientific community that will both aid and benefit from Invetech's product development, custom automation and manufacturing solutions.

An added plus is the high density of biomedical companies and extensive scientific community in areas such as point-of-care, molecular diagnostics, medical devices and living cell processing, that California also offers.

This creates the opportunity for strong market expansion while allowing Invetech to increase its expert workforce.

Jari Palander, Invetech vice president, commented, 'Our new office extends our skills, expertise and proven experience, allowing us to better bridge the gap between research, product development and manufacturing. From this base, a more responsive and flexible approach enables us to deliver the best outcome for our client - commercial success.'

Invetech has appointed Richard Grant as vice president of Operations for
Invetech, San Diego, California, USA. In his new role, Richard will oversee Invetech's US operations, its move to new premises in Quarter 1 2008 and the growth of its California team with appointments of new staff incorporating a mix of experience from the Melbourne based head-office and newly added US team members.

'The opening of our new, fully equipped facilities demonstrates our ongoing commitment to our North American customers and reflects the increasing demand for our services. Invetech is continually expanding its client base and with increased activity in this region, we have aggressive growth plans for our new office. The facility will have the infrastructure necessary to provide an expanded local service to our clients including a range of specialised development labs, workshop and contract manufacturing production area.' added Grant.

Invetech's offering combines instrumentation, disposables and custom automation design and engineering. The company's extensive experience covers a wide range of sectors including; clinical in-vitro diagnostics, medical devices, life sciences, bioprocessing and drug discovery. With a proven track record of hundreds of development projects worldwide. Industry experts seeking an experienced outsourcing co-development partner increasingly rely upon Invetech’s services.
