Kittitas Valley boosts productivity by implementing Orion's Rhapsody Integration Engine

Orion Health : 28 March, 2007  (New Product)
The Kittitas Valley Community Hospital has selected Orion Health's Rhapsody Integration Engine to integrate the hospital's health information system with a variety of applications to increase productivity for hospital staff - saving both time and money and improving patient care.
'Made exclusively for the healthcare market, Rhapsody was the leading choice in an integration engine that will meet our short-term as well as long-term needs,' said David Ray, IS Technical Analysts, Kittitas Valley Community Hospital.

'Given that the system is specific to our field, we found it to be engineered with the know-how to address unique healthcare configurations and work with us long into our healthcare technology future.

'Seeing Rhapsody in use at a current customer location gave us the confidence that the system can span our wide variety of physician and patient applications. The team behind Rhapsody and the entire Orion Health family, with its strong commitment to customer support, made it the obvious choice.'

Once a need for an integration engine was confirmed, the information system staff at KVCH identified several products to review via web demos and on-site customer visits. Learning that Rhapsody was developed specifically for healthcare, and its ability to be customised if needed, tipped the scale in favour of Rhapsody. The integration engine's easy-to-use graphical user interface was also appealing.

'We are once again thrilled that our Rhapsody Integration Engine is the product of choice for the small to mid-size hospital market and it's an honor to have Kittitas Valley Community Hospital in Washington as a customer,' said Paul de Bazin, Rhapsody General Manager, Orion Health.

'We believe that KVCH will be able to reap all the benefits Rhapsody has to offer in terms of interfacing with a variety of applications and are quite certain it is a good fit for their long-term information system management needs. Designing a product to meet the specific needs of our healthcare customers is always our top goal as customer service and support is a crucial component of our company's mission.'

Rhapsody has been specifically designed to meet the present and future needs of health integration. The Rhapsody Engine manages and streamlines message exchange between hospital applications, databases and external systems for effortless integration. Rhapsody delivers an integration solution with the lowest cost of ownership and highest return on investment.
