Leipziger Messe : 29 May, 2009  (Special Report)
FOCUS ZONE REPORT The Chromatographic Society is partnering with L.A.B. - the European trade fair and conference for analysis, bio and laboratory equipment in the UK that will be held at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham from October 27-29, 2009.
The Chromatographic Society is collaborating with Leipziger Messe to host two independent seminars for chromatographers, presented by leading international experts, on the latest topics in separation science.

The Chromatography Society is recognised as the leading opinion former for separations science in the UK and is dedicated to supporting chromatographers and chromatography. Experienced in running symposia, the society has organised scores of international and national conferences and is particularly proud of its long running symposia, the BIG PREP series; a biennial event focused on preparative Chromatography as carried out in the laboratories of major multinational companies. This year the Chromatographic Society is mounting four symposia in the UK and supporting European Chromatography via its membership of the European society for separation science [EuSSS].

'The Chromatographic Society is pleased to collaborate with Leipziger Messe on the L.A.B. 2009 exhibition by mounting two independent seminars for chromatographers who wish to hear leading international experts speaking about the latest topics in separation science,' said Dr Christopher Bevan, executive committee member and events coordinator for The Chromatographic Society. 'We are incredibly excited to work in partnership with Leipziger Messe to support L.A.B. 2009. The trade fair and seminar programme provide the perfect opportunity for chromatographers to meet at a major national event.'

'We are delighted that the Chromatographic Society has decided to partner with Leipziger Messe at L.A.B. 2009', commented Silvana Kuerschner, Project Director of L.A.B. 'We are fortunate to draw on the Chromatographic Society's 53 years of experience to present the most up-to-date topics in separation science at L.A.B. The combination of a world class conference alongside the exhibition provides the ideal forum to discuss current chromatographic techniques as well as the challenges that separation science faces in the future.'

Staged every two years, L.A.B. is aimed at manufacturers and users of analysis, biotechnology and laboratory equipment in the pharmaceutical, chemical, food and tobacco industries, as well as public and private sector organisations in medical and environmental engineering. L.A.B. is the only platform of its kind in the UK presenting the world's leading manufacturers and a wide range of scientific solutions.
