Language company launches diversity service during One World Week

Prestige Network : 25 October, 2007  (New Product)
Prestige Network a language services company based in Thatcham, UK, has launched a new diversity training service as part of One World Week.
The new service will help businesses and other organisations throughout the UK to understand and combat diversity issues.

Prestige's Head of Marketing and PR Kate Wiley said that companies who use the service would gain a better understanding of what diversity is, why it is important to be aware of the various aspects of diversity and their relevant statutory requirements.

'With today's society being more multicultural than ever before, it's important for businesses to be aware of the diverse needs and cultures of both their staff and clients alike, and what their legal responsibilities are when it comes to diversity,' she said.

'Prestige Network's new diversity training service will help businesses to address the challenges they may face when addressing diversity issues.'

'Our diversity training programme is designed not only as an introduction to cultural and diversity awareness, but also a practical guide to making diversity part of the organizational culture. It combines a focus on organizational and personal beliefs, values and behaviours with a review of the key aspects of legislation.'

Wiley said the company would offer diversity training alongside their cultural awareness training service.

One World Week falls annually in November and is an opportunity for people from diverse backgrounds to come together to learn about and take action on global justice issues locally and globally. This year's theme is All Together Now.

Prestige Network is the UK's leading language services specialist. The company has 4000 linguists based across the UK and their service is available anytime, anywhere and in any language.
