Magstim supports 2008 Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Summer School

Magstim has announced the second Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Summer School – Brain Stimulation and Rehabilitation which will take place on the May 30 to 31, 2008.
The 2008 summer school follows the success of the inaugural event in 2007.

International academics and researchers from the fields of neuroscience and neurology will present on a wide range of topics from ‘brain stimulation in healthy subjects’ to ‘therapeutic brain stimulation for rehabilitation’, with equipment demonstrations from Magstim and Rogue Research.

In collaboration with Professor Vince Walsh, Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience (ICN) and the Department of Psychology, University College London (UCL), the meeting will also include the announcement of the Magstim Young Investigators Award 2008.

This year, the judging panel will include 2007 winners Dr Sven Bestmann, UCL and Dr Jacinta O’Shea, University of Oxford.

The winner of the 2008 award will have the opportunity to present their work as part of the overall Summer School programme, as well as receive a cash prize of £500. Prizes will also be awarded for outstanding contributions to the field of neuroscience and neurology.

Nominations for the ‘Magstim Young Investigator’ awards should be directed to Professor Vince Walsh at the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience (ICN) and the Department of Psychology, University College London.
