Medical device product training certification

CME Medical : 21 February, 2014  (Company News)
The Royal College of Nursing has provided continued annual accreditation for the medical device product training offered by CME Medical
Medical device product training certification

CME Medical has been re-accredited by the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) across its medical device product training range for the fifth year in a row.

This RCN accreditation validates and reaffirms the expertise and clinical rigour of CME Medical’s training courses, which support clinical staff in understanding how to use its entire range of ambulatory pumps safely and effectively.  Recently, CME Medical was the first infusion product company in the UK to obtain the Skills for Health Quality Mark1 for its training programmes. This, combined with the RCN accreditation, gives CME Medical’s customers the assurance that training complies to the highest standards and has gained approval from a number of nationally respected institutions.

This is timely news for CME Medical as one of the company’s key principals during the year ahead is safety.  The organisation has an excellent reputation for providing education, support and training across the medical device industry and works closely with its customers to ensure that all Health Care Professionals working with its products are fully trained and aware of the latest safety issues and standards.

Customer in-house training workshops and the new e-learning platform make up key components of CME Medical’s device training provision.

John Carrington, Managing Director of CME Medical comments, “We’re incredibly proud to have achieved RCN accreditation again. We are passionate about sharing the expertise and knowledge we have developed with our customers and the support system we invest in to ensure our products are used in the safest and most efficient way in clinical practice.  This achievement will provide continued assurance to our current and future customers that safety, through training and innovation, is at the heart of everything we do at CME Medical.”

Ruth Goodwin, Clinical Education Manager at CME Medical adds, “We believe that customers need to be supported through training and are particularly proud of our network of Clinical Support Specialists (CSS) across the UK.   It is important that pumps are specifically configured for specific clinical applications.  During the roll-out period for a medical device, our CSS team is on hand to provide expert advice and practical help – whether in a hospital, community care or home setting.”
