Medical Simulation opens new SimSuite skills training centre in Germany

Medical Simulation : 09 January, 2008  (New Product)
Medical Simulation (MSC) has entered into an agreement with CardioSkills, headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany to provide an interventional skills training experience for physicians and their staff through the use of simulation education.
Training experiences range from basic to complex procedures.

'MSC and CardioSkills - that's professionalism meeting professionalism and the result is a new definition of quality and a new standard in medical education and simulation,' said Dr Erhard Kaiser, founder of CardioSkills.

'Our objective in Europe is to serve the medical community with superior training and to partner with societies in studies of simulation while maintaining the integrity of our education approach,' said Bill Younkes, MSC chief executive officer and president. 'Our partnership with CardioSkills represents a significant milestone in MSC's global expansion efforts.'

The CardioSkills SimSuite is the second SimSuite that MSC has opened in Europe. The first centre was located at the Flanders Medical Research Program headquartered in Dendermonde, Belgium.

In addition to dedicated SimSuites, MSC also has the capability to deploy the SimSuite to customer sites or congresses. MSC's mobile distribution capability includes the onsite presence of the simulation system, courseware and clinical specialist support.

SimSuite enables societies, manufacturers, hospitals and provider teams experience a high-quality training event. Unlike other simulation training programmes, there is no need to purchase expensive equipment that quickly becomes obsolete, develop courseware or have trainers on staff. MSC partners with its customers to provide education services, develop courseware and distribute education. This model has proven to be a safe and cost-effective alternative to traditional training programmes.
