Mobility products to be demonstrated at Naidex

Kirton : 25 March, 2014  (New Product)
Kirton will be attending the Naidex event in the UK in April with its range of chairs for improved patient mobility
Mobility products to be demonstrated at Naidex

The Kirton Healthcare Group will be bringing its three renowned brands to Naidex National (April 29 to May 1, NEC, Birmingham) to launch four new products. Team members from Kirton, SensoryPlus and A J Way will come together on stand E140 to speak to visitors about the latest developments in specialist seating and sensory products.

Kirton Healthcare will be launching two new chairs - the Hallingbury range and Florien II. Florien II is set to be an updated version of Kirton's popular Florien chair which features a tilt-in-space pivoting system and elevating legrest - both models are ideal for care environments and can be adjusted quickly and easily. The Florien also comes with convenient removable arm modules to facilitate a left or right side transfer, making it an exceptionally versatile and functional chair. Florien II has been created using the findings of the company's research and following customer feedback which is a vital part of product development at Kirton - the new chair promises a better specification and better value for money.

The Hallingbury range has the same fantastic functionality as the rest of Kirton's product portfolio. A triple motor on the chairs enables users to operate the tilt-in-space, legrest elevation and back recline independently of each other, whilst the wings and waterfall back show off the best of British styling. The range also comes with the option of being made to measure together with multiple back styles and upholstered in a wide range of fabrics to make it truly bespoke. It will be manufactured in the UK, which means rapid delivery times for customers and retailers.

Kirton Healthcare has over 30 years' experience in providing specialist seating and has a deserved reputation for its high quality products. Its acquisition of AJ Way made it one of the industry's leading providers of riser recliners and high seat chairs purposefully designed to meet the specific requirements of older people, the disabled and a variety of healthcare environments.

This year, A J Way will also be launching two new ranges of bespoke seating. The Mistley range is being hailed as the firm's most comprehensive seating solution to date. Incorporating both riser recliner and fireside chairs, the Mistley range is a 'matching set', ideal for anyone in search of a complete collection. With unique features and a style of its own, the Mistley Range fits effortlessly into any care environment or domestic setting. Different sizes are available to accommodate a range of dimensions so achieving the correct seated position is simple and, thanks to a wide selection of fabrics and accessories, the range can be tailored according to individual taste and inclination.

The new Wendover riser recliner, also on show, is a contemporary chair designed with simplicity in mind. Available in small, medium and large sizes, the elegant chair accommodates the majority of dimensions to achieve a comfortable seated position that promotes good posture. A number of different back options are available with the chair, tailoring its comfort level to suit individual preferences and further choice is offered by the various actions available with the Wendover; single motor for those who prefer to maintain a seat to back angle while reclining, dual motor for independent legrest and backrest movement or super dual motor for a combination of both.

Beverly Lawrence, CEO, said: "We are delighted to be exhibiting all three brands once again at Naidex National, and launching four new products! As with all our chairs, they have been created with style, functionality and practicality in mind, together with users' comfort, and we hope they generate the same high level of interest their predecessors have at previous shows."

SensoryPlus will be presenting a three day programme of sensory seminars at the show for the seventh consecutive year. The SensoryPlus Inspiration Zone will include a large seminar area where visitors will have the opportunity to hear from a panel of renowned speakers on all things sensory. Speakers in the Inspiration Zone will include Judy Denziloe of AFL Training, Richard Hirstwood and Clive Smith of Hirstwood Training and Chris Barson, Founder of Positive About Autism. Each speaker brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the feature, aiming to give visitors practical ideas and suggestions that can be applied to various settings and environments.

David Payne, SensoryPlus Product Manager, said: "The Inspiration Zone is a great opportunity for visitors to see exactly what we have to offer and speak to experts in the industry to gauge the best equipment for their requirements. It will also feature two 'Meet the Speaker' pods, which were a hit with visitors at last year's show, along with a specially built sensory zone so visitors can experience and explore the world of sensory environments for themselves."

Beverly added: "Our brands create exemplary products and by exhibiting them at the show we hope to provide visitors with an opportunity to see exactly what we have to offer. They can get expert advice and help on choosing the right products for their particular requirements from the Kirton, SensoryPlus and A J Way teams. The show is also a wonderful opportunity for us to engage with new and existing customers and give them the opportunity to learn about products they may not have previously considered."
