New tonometer from Keeler is designed for greater accuracy

Keeler : 06 June, 2007  (New Product)
The new hand-held Pulsair intelliPuff non-contact tonometer from Keeler has been redesigned to give improved performance.
The redesign makes the fifth generation tonometer smaller, lighter and more accurate than any previous model.

The tonometer also has an exceptionally light puff that is gentle on the patient's eye.

The instrument is 50 percent smaller than the conventional non-contact tonometer, the instrument can either be desk- or wall-mounted.

The redesigned hand piece with revised user controls now features a forehead stabiliser to further aid alignment and the automatic measurement process.
When taking an IOP reading the intelliPuff senses any unusual parameters, such as a dry eye or a damaged cornea, and automatically adjusts its measuring criteria.

The tonometer's intelligent optical and electronic technology evaluates every reading to ensure the tightest range.

When enough reliable readings have been taken, a time saving audible signal alerts the user.

The intelliPuff software analyses the readings and eliminates any anomalies from the final displayed result.

In addition, users can take advantage of Pulsair's significantly increased accuracy by selecting the display mode to measure IOP in either 1mmHg or 0.1mmHg increments.

The intelliPuff gives the user control over system parameters - operators can choose between clinical mode and automatic mode, thus allowing the system to monitor firing parameters.
