New ultrapure water system is ideal for molecular laboratory procedures

Purite : 04 June, 2007  (New Product)
Purite has added the new Neptune Life Science system to the company's Select Neptune range of ultrapure water systems
The compact Neptune Life Science unit delivers ultrapure water for molecular laboratory procedures.

Purite, a leading UK manufacturer of high performance water purification equipment, has developed the system to provide ultrapure water for use in science laboratory processes such as molecular biology, IVF, genome research, and critical cell culture.

The ultrapure water system offers efficient production rates of up to two litres/minute, and incorporates bactericidal Ultraviolet (UV) technology at 254nm, effectively destroying more than 99 percent of bacteria.

Specifically designed to generate ion-free ultrapure water at a guaranteed resistivity of 18.2Mohm.cm from a feedwater source of less than 20uS/cm, the Select Neptune Life Science unit features a hollow fibre 0.05um ultra-microfilter and an integral deionising cartridge pack.

Ideal for procedures that require low levels of DNAse and RNAse, the ultra-microfilter reduces endotoxin levels to less than 0.02EU/ml, and bacterial levels to less than 0.1cfu/ml, while the replaceable cartridge pack provides an exceptionally low TOC specification of less than 5ppb.

The latest model also features an easy to view display to enable quick and simple monitoring of system parameters, such as flowrate, water quality, temperature, TOC, and pressure, while an automated disinfection routine ensures system hygiene still further.
