New waste bins offer hygienic performance gains

Sidhil : 25 June, 2007  (New Product)
A premium range of waste bins under the Doherty brand name has been launched by Sidhil for use in GP surgeries, nursing/residential homes and healthcare applications.
The high specification Kendal waste bins are available in 20, 50 and 70 litre capacities, manufactured in the UK from powder coated galvanised steel.
Improved levels of hygiene have driven the development principles of these new bins.

The lid is designed to be difficult to open by hand to encourage foot operation, minimising cross contamination.

Inclusion of an air gap beneath the bin reduces build up of stagnant air that could encourage bacterial growth.

A special silent and smooth lid closing function minimises the bacteria spreading aerosol effect often caused by traditional bin lid designs.

Featuring a pull-out handle for easy movement, the bins incorporate a specially designed wide pedal which gives added versatility in use, allowing the sack holder to be approached from both the front and the sides of the bin.

Rounded corners are designed to prevent injury and rubber feet reduce the chance of floor damage.

The Kendal waste wins are available in four designs.

The 20 litre (small) option features a solid body, whilst the 50 litre (medium) option is available with either a solid or removable body for ease of cleaning.

The 70 litre (large) option features a front opening door for easy sack removal and access for cleaning purposes.

Both medium and large bins are fitted with anti-static wheels as standard, which protrude 3cm behind the rear of bin to prevent damage from contact with walls and plasterwork.

Fire retardant to HTM 83, the Kendal bins come complete with a comprehensive two year warranty and a choice of white and yellow lid colours to denote domestic and clinical waste.
