New website focuses on video health information generated by health professionals

VideoMD : 11 July, 2008  (Company News)
VideoMD has launched VideoMD.com which is a new website that focuses on physician generated video health information.
The site is a video sharing site that helps doctors educate their own patients by uploading educational videos to their individual page of VideoMD. Patients then search for their doctor by name.

Videos are reviewed for medical content, and the most relevant become featured videos. VideoMD's goal is to build the most comprehensive library of health videos from your own trusted doctors, as well as some of the pre-eminent specialists in their field of medicine.

Another innovative feature of the site allows patients and families to create communities, so patients can bond and educate one another. This video blogging feature creates communities where they can powerfully communicate through video.

'While VideoMD helps to better inform all patients with up-to-date, trustworthy health information, we are most excited about helping individual doctors educate their own patients. With all of the stress today on the physician-patient relationship, doctors need to use technology to their advantage to improve this relationship. We think VideoMD can be a useful tool in strengthening the bond between patients and their doctors,' said Dean Heller, MD, president of VideoMD.
