Noble Hospital selects MedQuist's Enterprise Platform for hospital-wide speech recognition tasks

Noble Hospital, a community hospital located in Westfield, Massachuesetts, USA, has implemented MedQuist Enterprise technology solutions to provide hospital-wide dictation, transcription and speech recognition capabilities.
MedQuist's Enterprise Platform and its embedded Speech recognition capability will be used throughout the hospital to help Noble's Health Information Management department progress with technology and provide a more timely, efficient, and most importantly, reliable capture of data.

Noble Hospital creates more than 19,000 clinical reports annually. In recent years, the hospital has seen its transcription volume grow significantly, and has also hired several hospitalists who are generating a significant volume of reports. Currently, Noble employs four full-time transcriptionists and has found it necessary to identify a solution to manage the increased workload.

According to Donna Wallace, RHIT, director of health information management at Noble Hospital, 'After visiting another hospital in the area that implemented the MedQuist solution several months ago, the other members of the selection team and I were very impressed, and all agreed that we wanted to proceed immediately with implementing this solution, too. We are especially excited and looking forward to leveraging speech recognition, as we are convinced this technology will allow us to be much more efficient as our organization continues to grow.'

'The MedQuist Enterprise solution will allow us to provide faster clinical documentation service to our physicians and clinicians, who need this information to ensure they provide the best patient care possible,' said Wallace.

Scott Bennett, MedQuist's senior vice president of sales and marketing, commented, 'Noble has been a MedQuist customer for many years, and we are pleased that they again have selected MedQuist for a new generation of speech-enabled transcription solutions. Our local service and sales personnel, who know the hospital and its staff quite well, will allow Noble to easily transition from its legacy system to the Enterprise solution.'
