Nursing recruitment is in high demand

Jobs4Medical.co.uk : 27 June, 2007  (New Product)
Jobs4Medical.co.uk has revealed that that nursing positions are becoming increasingly in-demand and now make up 40 per cent of its entire medical jobs database.
Since January 2007, over 3,200 nursing jobs have been posted onto the recruitment site.

In response to these advertisements, almost 9,000 potential candidates have already applied for nursing positions through the specialist recruitment website so far this year - showing the extent to which large volumes of trained UK nurses are currently seeking employment.

These findings come after the Royal College of Nursing claimed that over 22,000 NHS posts have been lost in the UK in the last 18 months with further suggestions that 'specialist nurses' in the NHS are the worst affected by job cuts.

Jobs4Medical.co.uk currently displays the latest job advertisements on behalf of over 210 medical organisations from large global corporations such as BUPA to smaller independent nursing homes.

'The state of the NHS is a highly visible issue in the UK at the moment, and although end of tenure in specific positions goes some way to explain why there are increasing numbers of positions opening up, the numbers of nurses unfortunately losing their jobs has risen significantly,' commented Vicky Scott, operations manager at Jobs4Medical.co.uk.

'There are large numbers of nurses out there who have been given a very high level of training, but who now find themselves without a full-time position'.
'We aim to help resolve these issues by publicising vacancies, whether they be in the UK or abroad'.

'We have a large number of nursing jobs advertised on our website, many of which come from the private sector, and significant numbers from abroad'.

'Our recent affiliation with BUPA adds greater impetus to our work in the private sector,' Scott continued.
