Philips reveals iSite PACS enhancements

Philips Medical Systems : 08 June, 2007  (New Product)
Key enhancements have been unveiled by Philips to its iSite Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) at the 2007 Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) Conference.
Philips iSite PACS v 3.6 released for USA and Canada markets only offers advanced visualisation tools and mammography softcopy reading support.

As part of its integrated offering, Philips now offers tools specially designed to foster process efficiencies and increased collaboration within radiology departments that use iSite PACS.

At SIIM 2007, Philips Healthcare Informatics will showcase systems that streamline complex workflow, enable clinicians to better focus on patient care, and provide seamless access to the patient's image history from both within and outside the healthcare facility.

Philips iSite PACS 3.6 improves on Philips' promise to provide clinical information any time, any place to optimise patient care.

Philips iSite PACS takes picture archiving and communications capabilities to a new level by extending the power of radiology to all caregivers throughout the hospital.

iSite PACS 3.6 incorporates patented iSyntax technology to deliver advanced visualisation capabilities such as integrated Maximum Intensity Projection (MIP), Multi-Planar Reformatting (MPR), and 3D rendering; advanced hanging protocols and mammography softcopy reading support; conference presentations; and teaching files support.

All these applications are now available on the desktop, which eliminates the need to move back and forth between workstations.

'The advanced tools introduced in iSite PACS 3.6 underscore our commitment to providing quality applications designed to improve workflow and increase efficiency', said Matt Long, general manager, Healthcare Informatics, Philips Medical Systems.

Innovations from Philips Healthcare Informatics, including iSite PACS 3.6, are being demonstrated at SIIM on booth 331.
