QPR Software and Mawell broadens international performance management solutions plan

QPR Software and Mawell have signed an international agreement to develop and market performance management solutions to the health care sector.
QPR Software is a performance and process management solutions developer while Mawell is a software and content provider for health care.

The target for cooperation is for the companies to develop and market performance management solutions to health care and the new contract extends and deepens the existing cooperation that dates back to 2001.

'Each year, innovative QPR software is delivered to our customers in more than 50 countries around the world both in private and public sector businesses.

'In Finland our customers comprise of a large number of successful organizations that have state of the art work processes and quality'.

'One of constitutive ideas of our cooperation is to bring these best practices for the benefit of the health care sector', said Matti Kanninen, CEO of QPR Software.

'On the other hand we have recognised globally significant branches where we want to increase our stake.

'Health care is definitely one of the most important growth areas.

'Cooperation between Mawell and QPR has been productive in Finland and we now want to copycat this know-how internationally.

'The main common markets for Mawell and QPR will be the Nordic countries, Great Britain, Middle Europe, Canada and Australia.

'Mawell has a strong market position in its own sector in Nordic, Europe and Japan'.

The fruits of the cooperation can be seen in the Finnish health care.

QPR Software, Mawell and Kronodoc have delivered in cooperation the ProDoc process management solution to the hospital district of Helsinki and Uusimaa.
ProDoc concept has been build up in a pilot of six clinical units in a process that laid the foundation for the principles of process description in HUS.

The process life cycle management, documentation and performance measuring is set up in a uniform and seamless solution that covers the whole hospital district.

Health care quality and process control involves a lot of industry specific know-how.

This know-how will be developed in an ongoing research cooperation between various universities and these companies.

Mawell business intelligence director, Nina Lundberg has a long history in research on reduction of malpractice aiming at improved patient safety.

'Core process development is basically always about improving patient benefits.
New solutions developed by Mawell and QPR aim at providing services in the best interest of both patient and citizen', said Lundberg.
