St Croix Regional Medical Center selects Orion's integration engine to enable proactive monitoring

Orion Health : 10 April, 2007  (New Product)
St Croix Regional Medical Center, Wisconsin, USA, has selected Orion Health's Rhapsody Integration Engine to connect the wide variety of medical applications in use at its facility.
Using Rhapsody, the centre will be able to increase the proactive monitoring of their system, allowing for increased healthcare provider productivity and better patient outcomes.

“Rhapsody provides us with the opportunity to fully connect our applications between the hospital and our three medical clinics. As we continue to make investments in our technology, we know that no matter what application we choose, Rhapsody will be able to seamlessly integrate our legacy and future systems,” said Duane Laabs, director of IT, at St Croix Regional Medical Center.

“Using a software application as effortless as Rhapsody and working with the outstanding group of people at Orion Health has made it an excellent experience that we know will benefit our staff and our patients.”

After reviewing internal requirements of an integration engine and referencing KLAS ratings, St Croix Regional Medical Center narrowed the field down to four vendors, of which Rhapsody was the standout based upon ease-of-use and integration. Knowing the implementation and training staff at Orion Health was knowledgeable and customer-service oriented helped St Croix make the final decision.

“St. Croix is a fantastic example of what mid-size hospitals across the US are accomplishing with the Rhapsody Integration Engine,” says Paul de Bazin, Rhapsody general manager, Orion Health.

“Integrating legacy applications and enabling them to plan for the future is an essential component of our technology development.”

“Rhapsody continues to outpace our competitors in the area of usability and customer service and St. Croix Regional Medical Center's decision to purchase our software based upon these criteria demonstrates our continued improvements in those areas.”

A Best in KLAS solution, Rhapsody has been specifically designed to meet the present and future needs of health integration. The Rhapsody Engine manages and streamlines message exchange between hospital applications, databases and external systems for effortless integration. Rhapsody delivers an integration solution with the lowest cost of ownership and highest return on investment.
