Stackable shaker offers continuous operation

Thermo Fisher Scientific Laboratory Equipment : 30 May, 2007  (New Product)
The new Thermo Scientific MaxQ 6000 stackable shaker resembles an incubator with two adjustable stationary shelves located above the 18 x 18 inch rotating platform.
The MaxQ 6000 shakers available from Thermo Fisher Scientific as incubated or refrigerated digital models which makes them ideal for plasmid purification, protein expression studies, genetic research, solubility studies, growth of bacteria and yeast and metabolism work.

Thermo Scientific MaxQ 6000 stackable shakers are powered by a triple-eccentric drive that handles heavy workloads, provides uniform agitation and enables continuous 24-hour operation.

The incubated chamber temperature ranges from 10 degrees C above ambient to 80 degrees C.

The refrigerated temperature ranges from 15 degrees C below ambient to 80 degrees C to cover a wide range of molecular biology applications.

The new shakers feature a door with a large glass viewing window to allow researchers to observe samples without disturbing the chamber atmosphere.
The shakers can be used under the bench or stacked two high on the floor for space savings.

The MaxQ 6000 stackable shakers accept an 18 x 18in platform that will hold up to five 2 litre Erlenmeyer flasks and has a 0.75in circular orbit providing excellent product yields.

The unit can accommodate a dual tiered 18 x 18in platform to increase the shaking capacity of the unit.

Speed, operating time and temperature can be viewed simultaneously on three individual displays, which helps minimise errors in establishing running conditions.

All units have a market leading warranty of five years on parts, one year on labour and lifetime on the drive mechanism.

The new Thermo Scientific MaxQ 6000 stackable shakers carry the UL, cUL and CE agency approvals.
