Talley launches pioneering negative pressure wound therapy range

Talley Group : 13 June, 2007  (New Product)
Talley Group is to pioneer its own negative pressure wound therapy range that offers patients faster healing and higher comfort levels.
The 'next generation' of products will build on proven technology.

The move reinforces the Group's 50 years of experience in pressure ulcer prevention and therapy, and underpins its role as the UK's largest privately owned specialist.

Talley's Medical Division entered the newly emerging negative pressure market last year, in association with Blue Sky of the USA.

The treatment uses a pump to provide localised negative-pressure, thus draining the wound.

Talley will use its latest technologies, including 3D modelling, CAD software, and advanced surface mount electronics, to develop a new power unit and canister to lead the market with features and benefits.

Talley's operations manager Kevin Mearns said: 'Published clinical studies have shown the value of this new cost effective technique, and with our cutting edge technology and design experience we are ideally placed to meet customers' needs'.

Talley's CEO Chris Evans added: 'We were the first in the UK to offer real choice in negative pressure wound therapy, and truly understand the requirements for the next generation of products.

'Customers will see a seamless transition to the new product range, and I am confident we will yet again deliver state of the art, reliable, products providing real savings to both the UK NHS and the private sector'.

Following the UK launch, the range will also be available in Europe.
