Two new thermal imagers offer value for money high performance

LumaSense Technologies : 02 October, 2007  (New Product)
Mikron Infrared, a LumaSense Technologies company, has introduced two new thermal imaging systems that offer cost effective high quality images.
The Mikron M7640 is a fully radiometric thermal imager with a high resolution 640 x 480 detector. With four times that of regular detectors, the M7640 provides more than 300,000 measuring points versus 76,800 measuring points for regular detectors. The easy-to-use infrared camera has superior performance with a high-quality articulating 5.6inch LCD. The M7640 offers real time image recording with multi-spot temperature measurement and emissivity settings.

The Mikron M7816 represents another milestone in innovative infrared thermometry. The battery operated handheld IR camera is lightweight with high-performance offering capabilities normally found in more expensive models. The M7816 is a fully radiometric camera, which is ergonomically designed for comfortable one-handed point-and-shoot operation featuring 160x120 resolution with a 60Hz refresh rate.

“The introduction of these new cameras and software demonstrates Mikron's commitment to expand the choices, features and quality available to thermographers”, said Bill Fullam, product manager at Mikron Infrared. 'The market is demanding higher quality and lower costs and these new thermal imagers prove that we're listening. In addition, the new MikroSpec software, which provides new features such as enhanced export capability, is fully compatible with Microsoft Windows Vista.”

Mikron thermal image cameras are fully compatible with Mikron’s MikroSpec Thermal Imaging Software package, which provides fully comprehensive, post image analysis and report generation features. Convenient USB port is available on the imager for image export and data download
