Union Hospital Health Group deploys ImageNow software

Union Hospital Health Group has selected Perceptive Software’s ImageNow for deployment across multiple departments. |

Perceptive Software will utilise its patented LearnMode technology to seamlessly integrate ImageNow into four different host applications in seven separate departments.
Located in Terre Haute, Indiana, Union Hospital Health Group facilities include two hospitals and 14 primary care physicians providing comprehensive care to residents of west central Indiana and eastern Illinois.
Union Hospital Health Group will deploy ImageNow to simplify its paper-based accounts payable, purchasing and human resources processes. Integrated with Lawson, ImageNow creates a direct connection between records in Lawson and corresponding information in ImageNow, enabling users to retrieve supporting documents from their Lawson screens instantly.
ImageNow will also automate Union Hospital Health Group’s admissions process by integrating with Siemens Unity and GE Centricity Practice Management. ImageNow will allow employees to import an entire admissions packet with a single click, ensuring the collection and accuracy of all required documents such as insurance cards, driver’s license, patient history, consent forms and referral forms.
“The ease of integration with GE Centricity, Siemens and Lawson were the biggest factors in the decision to replace our old imaging product,” said Marcia Kirk, technical systems consultant, Union Hospital Health Group. “The speed of document retrieval and the workflow solutions are very impressive, along with ImageNow’s comprehensive solutions for Patient Accounting, Admissions, Accounts Payable, Materials Management, Human Resources and Payroll.”
Union Hospital Health Group will also speed its revenue cycle by deploying ImageNow in the patient accounting department. Integrated with Siemens Invision, ImageNow allows cash posters to link individual EOB pages to patient records in the billing system for quick reference. Users quickly route the patient information needed to handle denied and accepted items, secondary billing and more in ImageNow Workflow, accelerating the revenue cycle.
“Analysis and reconciliations tasks are so much easier to perform when the information you need is right at your fingertips at the exact time you need it,” added Kirk.
