Eclipsys : 14 February, 2008  (New Product)
Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway, Rahway, New Jersey, has selected Eclipsys’ Sunrise Clinical Manager including its integrated modules Sunrise Acute Care, Sunrise Pharmacy, Sunrise Knowledge-Based Medication Administration and Sunrise Knowledge-Based Charting to help drive improved care delivery across its organization.
The Eclipsys solutions will be remotely hosted by the ISO 9001:2000-certified Eclipsys Technology Solutions Center in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, USA.

Eclipsys’ integrated clinical solutions will help provide clinicians at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway with access to a patient’s up-to-date health record across departments and facilities. Additionally, Eclipsys’ Sunrise Knowledge-Based CPOE, adopted by more physicians than any other in the industry, includes evidence-based order sets that will help Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway’s care givers drive adherence to established organizational practices. Eclipsys’ Knowledge-Based CPOE has a user-friendly interface that allows physicians to build their own order sets. This helps engage this key constituent throughout the activation process, helping to ensure high-rates of adoption.

“With so much industry focus on improved performance related to core measures, we selected Eclipsys solutions due to the company’s proven ability to help its clients achieve outcome improvements in these key areas,” said Kirk C Tice, chief executive officer, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway. “We look forward to working with Eclipsys to target our areas for improvement and to successfully activate Sunrise Clinical Manager applications to help us achieve our goal of providing the best possible care in our region.”

Sunrise Medication Management is an end-to-end solution that will integrate the workflows of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Rahway’s physicians, pharmacists and nurses to help reduce miscommunications, delays and avoidable medication errors.

“The selection of Sunrise Clinical Manager by Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway indicates the growing industry momentum for Eclipsys solutions, which is the result of the reputation we are building as a company that delivers real value and real outcome improvements for our clients,” said R Andrew Eckert, Eclipsys president and chief executive officer. “Eclipsys is very excited to work with the team at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway and help yet another client automate care delivery processes to achieve improved patient-care outcomes.”
