Water purification systems for laboratories

Purite : 09 September, 2009  (New Product)
The Select product range from Purite has been designed for providing consistent pure water in line with the requirements of laboratories
Purite has announced the launch of its new Select laboratory product range for water purification featuring enhanced reliability and flexibility.

The Select product range has been developed to support specific applications within the laboratory environment. Using an array of advanced technologies, such as reverse osmosis (RO) and electro deionisation (EDI), the range provides consistency, reliability and gives users complete confidence in the water quality.

The radically redesigned and upgraded Select range is available in four standard models: Descale, Analyst, HP and Bio and the specialised Purewater 300, Fusion and Neptune versions. Two notable additions to the range are the inclusion of Ultrafiltration (UF) technology and the use of electro deionisation.

Ultrafiltration is a membrane process that is specifically targeted at removing bacteria, their by-products (endotoxins) and enzymes such as RNases and DNases from ultrapure water.

Electro deionisation uses a combination of ion selective membranes and ion exchange resins sandwiched between two electrodes (anode and cathode), in conjunction with an applied DC voltage potential to remove dissolved ions from RO-pretreated water.

The new updated product range is simple to use and the clear touch screen display enables quick and easy system set-up and fingertip diagnostic functionality. Maximum flexibility and portability are achieved through unique space saving design and all units can be bench-top or wall mounted, to ensure discrete location.

All units are manufactured under the control of ISO 9001:2008 and are backed by Purite’s excellent after service care, this exciting range offers unparalleled peace of mind for laboratory professionals.
