West Suffolk Hospital NHS Trust selects MAPS Healthroster solution for electronic rostering

Manpower Software : 13 October, 2008  (Application Story)
West Suffolk Hospital NHS Trust has selected Manpower Software's MAPS Healthroster solution for electronic rostering of their nursing and midwifery staff, with the intention of Trust-wide rollout.
Nichole Day, chief nurse at West Suffolk Hospital NHS Trust commented: 'After a robust review of a number of electronic rostering solutions we selected MAPS Healthroster to help us realise the benefits that should accrue from the wide range of features available with this solution. There are benefits to be realised for patients and staff, including staff savings by having the information available to more proactively utilise the existing workforce and thus reducing the requirement for temporary staff. Particularly useful features of MAPS Healthroster is its ability to link Electronic Staff Record data, the temporary staffing bank and payroll processes to rosters.'

Key to choosing MAPS Healthroster is its proven capabilities along with a strong acute hospital NHS Trust user base across the UK. Expected benefits from the solution include improved nurse rosters, patient safety, improved quality of life for nursing staff and accurate payroll.

Commenting on the announcement, Paul Scandrett, Manpower Software's director of healthcare commented: 'We are delighted to be working with the Trust following an extensive review of our capability that included an on-site Roster Assessment. The Trust joins a strong East of England user group and their input will further improve the focus on regional and local issues. This now brings the total number of MAPS Healthroster customers to 51 NHS Trusts in England and Wales.'
