Xograph installs six mobile digital x-ray systems at Barts and The London NHS Trust

Xograph Healthcare : 10 July, 2008  (Application Story)
Xograph Healthcare has installed six new mobile digital x-ray systems (Mobile DaRt) and one new mobile image intensifer (Ziehm Vision R) at Barts and The London NHS Trust.
The Mobile DaRt is a motor driven, mobile Direct-DR unit incorporating Canon's 800-speed CXDI-50C portable, single tile, flat panel detector. The imaging system is useful for all bedside examinations where instant access to high quality diagnostic images is vital, for instance in departments such as trauma and ICU. This enables quicker diagnosis, speeds up patient workflow and reduces patients anxieties as radiographers can view images instantly at the bedside or of required can transfer them to a radiologist's workstation, PACS or a printer.

The Ziehm Vision R C-arm can be used in highly demanding interventional vascular procedures for instance those performed in cardiology and plays a vital role in the treatment of vascular disease. Surgeons will now be equipped with clearer images which are beneficial when visualising certain vascular anatomy thanks to the 'Clear View Technology.'

The compact design of the Ziehm Vision R means that staff benefit from the units excellent manoeuvrability and easy handling, making positioning effortless. Ziehm's Advanced Active Cooling system, standard on all Ziehm Vision models, means that the overheating and enforced cooling delays during long procedures are a thing of the past with the Ziehm Vision.

'The new equipment provides us with a substantial ability to increase our speed of care to a large number of seriously injured patients, whilst also enabling radiographers to attend to other duties,' said Carl Ratcliffe, lead radiographer at The Royal London Hospital.
