Xograph's dental X-ray system is installed at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital

Xograph Healthcare : 29 May, 2007  (New Product)
Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, part of the Heart of of England NHS Foundation Trust has installed Xograph Healthcare's Planmeca Proline XC Dental X-ray System.
Radiographic examinations are rapid and easy to perform with the Planmeca Proline XC The system offers side entry and open view for practical and precise patient positioning; a triple laser beam system for accurate alignment of reference anatomical landmarks; and an easy to use Graphic User Interface for intuitive selection of exposure program and parameters.

The system also offers clear and sharp clinical radiographs.
This is achieved by the unit's focal layer following the scientifically defined shape of the dental arch and jaw.

The imaging geometry of Planmeca Proline XC also efficiently eliminates shadows and ghost images caused by objects outside the image layer.
This significantly increases the diagnostic value of the image and reduces the need for retakes.

'The Planmeca Proline XC is a great new addition to the department', said Laurence Skermer, Superintendent Radiographer at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital.

'It is easy to use and delivers a superior level of image quality'.

The Planmeca Proline XC provides anatomically correct panoramic radiographs.

The Planmeca Proline XC is available in film/screen imaging, CR-compatible and direct digital 'Dimax' versions.

Film/screen and CR-compatible versions are upgradeable to digital.

Direct digital radiography offers many advantages for the patient and imaging workflow.

Digital images are displayed within seconds of exposure for immediate diagnosis.
The digital images can be enhanced for accurate diagnosis by software and digital archives and networks enable efficient image communications.
